Ella Chegwidden
Final Year Biomedical Engineering Student
About Me
I am a final-year Biomedical Engineering student who is deeply passionate about improving patient outcomes through user-centred medical technology design and regenerative treatment research. My goal is to be part of creating innovative healthcare solutions that have a real impact on people’s lives.
Throughout my time at UTS, I’ve embraced opportunities that have broadened both my technical skills and my worldview. I completed a global short program at the Leeds International Summer School and was an intern at a biotech startup, where I contributed to product design and refinement across iterative development cycles. These experiences have shown me the importance of empathy, collaboration, and humility in the engineering process.
I remain driven, curious, and committed to continuous learning. I strive to make the most of every opportunity and hope to contribute to a future where engineering and compassion work hand-in-hand to support better health outcomes for communities everywhere.
